URIEL VAZQUEZ

FOUNDER, MUSIC DIRECTOR, SONGWRITER, GUITARS, PIANO, DRUMS.

Uriel is music instructor at Guitar Center. He studied music at the Yamaha Music Academy in Mexico City and won third place at the Yamaha International Composition Competition. He is also an award-winning bilingual creative director with 20 years of experience in crafting marketing campaigns to include Fortune 500 companies. His accolades include Telly Awards, ADDY Awards, Se Habla Español Awards, and New York Festival U.S. He has a Bachelor of Communication Sciences at Universidad Intercontinental, in Mexico City.


CARMINA MURILLO

FOUNDER, SONGWRITER, LEAD SINGER, UKULELe, PERCUSSIONS.

Carmina is vocal instructor at Guitar Center. She was founder and singer for “Hadas” (Fairies), a band dedicated to bring environmental protection messages to children in Mexico. She was back vocalist for award-winning Latin singers including: José José, Julio Iglesias, and Ricardo Montaner. She sings in Spanish, French, Portuguese, Italian, English and now she is learning how to sign in ASL as well. Carmina is Professor of the International Baccalaureate Program at Alcuin School. She has 8 years of experience as university professor and Coordinator of International Master Programs at La Salle University, in Mexico. She has a double Master Degree in International Management (ULSA, Mexico/ICN, France)



LAUREL MCCONKEY

HARP, SINGER, PIANO, ACTRESS.

Laurel has performed with Diversitá Opera Arts Company, Dallas Opera, Fort Worth Opera, Dallas Symphony Chorus, Northeast Texas Symphony, Fort Worth Chamber Orchestra and the Dallas Winds with Gary Morris and Ray Charles. She has performed on local TV shows, including “The Morning Show" on KZPS and "The Why Guy" on WFAA on Channel 8. Laurel is delighted to be part of Nova Pangea and participate in the first ever Together in Harmony Dallas ’22 Inclusive Art Festival for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Community. She was diagnosed with mild nerve deafness as a small child and required years of speech therapy. She is a graduate of the University of North Texas and she loves to perform!
