SINGING WITH NOVA PANGEA - AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM AND SUMMER CAMP

Learning languages improves memory function and enhances creative thinking capacity.
Learning music with positive messages can make you healthier and helps building better relationships with friends and family.
CLASS DESCRIPTION:
Students will learn how to sing and find their own vocal sound with Nova Pangea’s singer Carmina Murillo and multi-instrumentalist Uriel Vázquez. Students will learn songs with positive messages in English, Spanish, French, and Italian, while improving confidence, self-esteem and empathy. Singing with Nova Pangea, offers children the opportunity to learn how to sing meaningful songs while learning cultural and relevant facts about the author’s creative process and his/her country of origin. Each class includes live music to perform along with the students. At the end of the course, we have an ensemble recital for the parents to enjoy. DÍA DE LOS MUERTOS - ALTAR AND SHOW
Welcome to the “Día de los Muertos” or Day of the Dead Celebration with Nova Pangea. November 2, is the day that the entire community has the opportunity to honor the life and legacy of those who made a positive change on planet Earth, who without a doubt are and will continue to be a great example to follow for us and future generations. Nova Pangea takes the opportunity to create a festival designed to bring “Día de los Muertos” celebration to your school and with the intention to honor the loved ones who have left good memories and love in our hearts forever. The event includes:
Altar design and set up
Projection of songs’ lyrics [caption]
Video memory projection of family members pictures that the school wants to honor on that day
Nova Pangea will also teach students how to craft paper maché “Cempasuchil” flowers and “Papel Picado” to decor the altar
A very special selection of songs in English, Spanish and French to honor the legacy of those who has trascended in our community, (including loving pets)
We can also add American Sign Language interpretation if requested by the school
Our main objective is to organize and produce a multimedia artistic event to celebrate the Day of the Dead with the collaboration of the faculty, students and staff from your school.
Our goal is to share to the school community the origin and meaning of this Hispanic celebration, adapting it to a more international and humanistic celebration, by honoring the life and legacy of personalities like: Chico Mendes, John Lennon, Martin Luther King, and Nelson Mandela, to mention few, who have died and have contributed positively to humanity, animals or the environment. We close the event with a positive message, motivating the hosting-school community to continue a positive legacy. Please contact us to book your show by September 1st.

TOGETHER IN HARMONY SUMMER CAMP
TOGETHER IN HARMONY is a multidisciplinary-multilingual learning platform designed to promote the “Richness of Diversity” through positive messages and to inspire living in harmony through love, respect, and tolerance.
The Program uses NOVA PANGEA’s songs and lyrics to teach kids how to live Together in Harmony. NOVA PANGEA is a music band dedicated to spreading positive messages through cause-oriented music. We address youth challenges including school dropout, gangs, drugs, domestic violence, and bullying. The band also promotes awareness about peace, animal rights, environmental protection, the human condition, and women’s and children’s rights — all with a secular or humanist approach.
TOGETHER IN HARMONY is a program divided into several workshops. Each workshop focuses in one song or topic. The program consists in adapting each song/topic to engage with our students. TOGETHER IN HARMONY is perfect for Summer Camps, After School Programs and Special Programs.
Key Objectives of TOGETHER IN HARMONY include:
INSPIRE students to express their emotions in a positive way using their creativity through the arts and technology
MOTIVATE them to develop writing and verbal skills in English, Spanish and French to communicate the “Richness of Diversity” in our society
ENCOURAGE students to find positive solutions to real-global problems with a philanthropic vision
EDUCATE them to express themselves and present their results in a “Diplomatic” way (learn how to debate)
EMPOWER their leadership spirit to engage with the community by using digital media
