Nova Pangea is proud to present "1985", a concert commemorating the 40th anniversary of the groundbreaking Live Aid concert on July 13, 1985, which revolutionized the music world. This massive benefit concert aimed to raise funds for famine relief in Ethiopia. Organized by Bob Geldof and Midge Ure, it featured simultaneous concerts at Wembley Stadium in London and John F. Kennedy Stadium in Philadelphia. The event was broadcast globally to an estimated 1.5 billion viewers and raised over $245 million. Iconic singers and bands performed, including U2, Dire Straits, David Bowie, Sade, Queen, Sting, Phil Collins, The Who, and Paul McCartney at Wembley Stadium, and The Hooters, Billy Ocean, Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Bryan Adams, Simple Minds, Santana, Madonna, Eric Clapton, Led Zeppelin, Duran Duran, USA for Africa, and Phil Collins in Philadelphia, who performed in both shows on two different continents.

Nova Pangea’s 1985 concert will be a concert where individuals who lived through the experience of Live Aid will have the opportunity to relive it and recapture the magic of that historical day in music. Nova Pangea will arranged and perform selected songs from bands that performed at those concerts, as well as songs by Sentido Contrario (Uriel's first rock band) along with Nova Pangea's original music. The event will kick off with an inspiring look at the profound impact of Live Aid and its enduring relevance today. This is why, if it passes insurance approval, we will empower people to bring food for humans and animals to be donated to Meals On Wheels, and the Dallas Animal Services Shelter. This way, younger audiences will also experience the inspiring power of music in supporting a philanthropic cause. 1985 concert will also include a slide show with pictures and videos capturing the most impressive moments of Live Aid. We feel that the world needs to remember why July 13, 1985 was also known as “the day the music changed the world”.

Our experiences living with dogs have taught us to value unconditional love, loyalty, empathy, and living in the moment. We utilized these values to craft three original songs, "Como Tú" (Like You), "Nova" and "Service Dog Song." These songs were showcased at all of our events, with "Como Tú" and "Nova" advocating for responsible pet ownership and "Service Dog Song" highlighting the transformative impact of service dogs on individuals with disabilities. By harnessing the power of music, we aim to foster unity and harmony among all living beings, thereby enriching our lives.

For Vive Pawsitive, Nova Pangea partnered with Dallas Animal Services Shelter (DAS), Sidecar Social Restaurant, Lazy Dog Restaurant, Dallas Public Library, Union Coffee, NBC 5 DFW, and Telemundo.
